Centrifugal pump seal ring structure
2022-10-10
The sealing ring structure of the centrifugal pump usually includes the following key components: Seal ring manufacturer custom hotline: 198-5653-1933 Dynamic ring (rotating ring) : The dynamic ring is the part that rotates with the pump shaft, and its material is mostly wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials such as silicon carbide, graphite filled PTFE and so on. The moving ring has a smooth surface for contact with the static ring to form a sealed interface. Static ring (fixed ring) : The static ring remains stationary relative to the pump body and is made of cemented carbide, ceramic or high-performance plastic. The static ring also has a smooth plane, which is combined with the dynamic ring to form a sealing surface, preventing the leakage of liquid from the high pressure area to the low pressure area. Spring assembly: including the spring seat and the spring itself, the role of the spring is to provide a continuous pressure to the moving ring, to ensure that there is always enough contact pressure between the moving ring and the static ring to maintain a good sealing effect. The spring can be cylindrical spring, bellows spring and other forms. Auxiliary sealing ring: Moving ring seal: An O-ring or other type of seal installed between the moving ring and the pump shaft to prevent liquid leakage along the axis. Static ring seal: An O-ring or other form of seal installed between the static ring and the pump housing to prevent liquid from leaking out of the sealing chamber. Gland sealing ring: The sealing ring located at the connection between the pump cover and the pump casing to ensure the sealing between the gland and the pump casing. Bushing seal: If the pump has a bushing design, a sealing ring may also be provided between the bushing and the shaft. Anti-swivel pin: In order to prevent the moving ring from rotating with the shaft and not achieving an effective seal, the anti-swivel pin is sometimes used for positioning. Set screw: used to fix the position of the moving ring and control the pressure of the seal against the shaft by adjusting the pre-tightening force of the screw. The centrifugal pump mechanical seal is a sophisticated and complex system that needs to be carefully designed to adapt to different working conditions and medium requirements to ensure long-term stable operation and no leakage.
