Installation of centrifugal pump seal ring
2022-10-10
The installation process of the centrifugal pump seal ring needs to follow certain steps and precautions to ensure a good sealing effect and extend its service life. Here is an overview of the installation process: Seal ring manufacturer custom hotline: 198-5653-1933 Preparation work: Turn off the centrifugal pump power supply and drain the residual liquid in the pump. Check whether the new sealing ring meets the specifications of the pump, confirm that the model is correct, and the sealing ring is not damaged or deformed. Clean all surfaces in contact with the seal, including shaft, sleeve, inside of the seal chamber, etc., to remove grease, rust and foreign matter. Pre-assembly inspection: Make sure the sealing surfaces of the static and moving rings (if any) are smooth and free of scratches, holes, or other defects. For static seals such as O-rings, apply appropriate lubricant to prevent damage during assembly, but not too much to avoid leakage. Insert the anti-swivel pin into the corresponding hole and align it with the position to ensure that it will not be misaligned during installation. Sealing ring installation: Install the static ring and its matching sealing ring, pay attention to the sealing ring in the correct direction and position on the static ring to ensure smooth fit. Install the spring seat and the small spring to keep the spring in the normal working compression state, usually the compression of the spring should be slightly greater than the compression of the running state. Install the drive screw to fix the spring seat, so that the seal assembly is evenly stressed, while ensuring that the direction of rotation is consistent with the pump shaft. Assemble the rest: Attach the end cover with the sealing assembly to the pump body, taking care to align the marks and connection points, and tighten the bolts with the manufacturer's recommended torque for pre-tightening and final tightening. Reassemble other related parts, such as bushing, bearing, etc., to ensure that all parts are well-centered and without deviation. Post-installation inspection: After assembly, manually turn the pump shaft without loading to check for abnormal resistance or loosening. Test run can be carried out under permitted conditions to observe whether there is leakage and confirm that the sealing performance is good. System debugging: After starting the centrifugal pump, gradually increase the load, check again for signs of leakage, and pay attention to the working noise, vibration and temperature changes of the pump.
